If you didn’t know already, at RebelDot we don’t have a classic reception. We welcome you with the smell of freshly ground coffee and a familiar face behind the bar. I’m Amy, the barista at RebelCafe, and I get to greet you the rebel way: with warmth, music, and a proper cup of magic.

For me, RebelCafé has always been the heart of our office. I never saw it as a regular coffee shop. Coffee might often be associated only with caffeine, but here it means connection. It’s where work and community naturally blend, fueled by good vibes and music. A quick stop for espresso can turn into a chat, an idea, or just a quiet moment to breathe.
Coffee and Connection
The best part of my job? The way friendliness just happens. A “good morning” becomes a conversation, and soon enough, no one’s a stranger. After work, the café often transforms. Sometimes it’s a book club, a running meetup, or a creative workshop. Other times, we open our doors to community events that bring new faces and fresh energy. It’s where hobbies, passions, and people come together.
Every gathering reminds me why I love this place - the quiet care, the laughter, and the freedom to simply be ourselves.
Managing the Heartbeat
You might wonder, what’s it like to run a café in an office? Well, running RebelCafé is more than serving coffee. I like to think of it as keeping the heartbeat of the place steady.
I handle the orders, stay in touch with our vendors, and make sure the shelves are stocked and the machines are running smoothly. Some days are calm, filled with music and chatter; others, I’m fixing lightbulbs, dealing with espresso machine emergencies, or finding quick solutions when things don’t go as planned. Behind the counter, there’s always a rhythm: cleaning, warming up the machines, sending bills to finance, making sure every cup that leaves the bar feels right.
It’s taught me that care isn’t only about people. It’s about the space itself, keeping it alive, functional, and welcoming. Every detail matters because it adds up to something bigger: the spirit of togetherness.
Coffee with Purpose
Here’s something really important to us: we care about what goes into every cup. We use Monor milk, locally sourced and bio-certified, and offer sustainable options like Oatly and Sproud.
Our beans come from Cofeels, a local coffee shop that supports job opportunities for people with disabilities. So, every cup we serve means coffee with purpose, coffee that values inclusivity and community as much as taste.
I know people talk about sustainability a lot these days, but at RebelDot we really mean it. It’s something we try to pour into everything we do, even into every cup at RebelCafé.
