Time moves differently in the tech world. Seven years ago, RebelDot was founded with a simple but powerful belief: that technology, built with care, can create meaningful impact. Then, the landscape looked entirely different. What started as a vision shared by just a few over 30 people has grown into something much bigger, much more connected, and undeniably more impactful.
Today, we're over 280 strong. But numbers only tell part of the story.
The proof is in the growth: we've added 50 new colleagues in this anniversary year alone and maintained an average tenure of 2.8 years.
And do you want to hear something truly remarkable? 56% of our original team from seven years ago - this means 19 out of the initial 34 rebels - are still with us today.

And our values - Togetherness, Care, Growth, Fulfillment, and Fun - shape the daily experience of being a rebel. They influence how we support each other, how we approach challenges, how we celebrate wins, and how we show up for our community.
These principles have remained constant as we've grown to more than 280 people, and they'll continue to guide us as we write the next chapter of our story.
A Year of Meaningful Growth
This past year, since our last anniversary, has been one to remember. We've expanded in ways that matter not just in size, but in the depth of what we do and how we do it together.
Our partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula 1 Team brought us into the high-octane world of Formula 1, where split-second decisions and flawless execution mean survival. Working alongside a team that operates at the absolute edge of performance has pushed us to think differently about what's possible when technology meets human ambition. This new partnership joins long-standing relationships like our collaboration with LAUTEC, who has been with us since the beginning of RebelDot, proving that lasting partnerships are built on trust and consistent delivery.
The seamless integration of our Steepsoft division has been essential in one of our biggest highlights this year: our intensified focus on AI. Our AI & Data team has grown to 44 people, giving us the expertise to tackle complex challenges that actually matter to businesses. And this isn't just about following the AI hype - it's about leading the way in creating AI solutions that solve real problems for businesses.
Recognition came in forms we're particularly proud of. Being certified as one of the Best Places to Work, ranking 4th in Europe and top 3 in Romania, validates something we've always believed: that great technology comes from great people who feel valued and supported. We were also chosen as the 16th top employer in Cluj by Hipo - a significant jump from 24th last year - placing us next to some of the biggest brands in the local business market and confirming that our approach to creating a supportive work environment resonates beyond our walls.
Growing Where It Counts
Becoming an AWS Partner opened new technical possibilities, while our AI webinar on 'How to use AI to drive business growth in 2025' sparked meaningful conversations about what's actually possible with AI.
But perhaps what we're most proud of is how our team continues to care beyond the code.
We welcomed exceptional fresh energy through our internship programs, bringing 18 new colleagues from our .NET & React, AI (2024) & UX (2025) internships.
Sergiu, is one of our long-lasting rebels who started his own journey through a university connection seven years ago. "It all started during university. I heard about RebelDot through a student group when they were announcing an internship. I went through the interviews, and even though I was just starting out, I felt a strong connection".
That same connection continues to draw bright minds ready to challenge assumptions and bring new perspectives to problems we've been solving for years.
"Definitely the people around me. From the start, I felt supported and encouraged—even when I doubted myself," Sergiu reflects on what helped him grow. This sentiment echoes through every story, every milestone, every new rebel who joins our ranks.
Giving back to our community has always been part of who we are, and this year we continued to contribute in ways that made us proud.
We planted 10,000 trees in Deleni, contributing to reforestation efforts that will outlast any software we build.
During Noaptea Companiilor, we turned office visits into something meaningful—for every person who came by, we donated a meal to O Masă Caldă, a local organization providing meals for people in Cluj who need support. The result? 270 meals, one for every visitor, reminding us that technology's greatest impact often happens away from office screens.
Through "Rebels with a Cause," our annual internal fundraiser where colleagues auction handcrafted items and unique experiences, we raised €7,200, which we donated to Hopes and Homes for Children.
The Thread That Connects It All
Iulia, who is with us since the creation of RebelDot, remembers when "we were around 30 people after the famous split. We used to hold company meetings in an open space - what's now the RebelCafe. We would gather in a circle, talk about projects, and share updates. It was very participative and personal".
While our meetings have evolved and our spaces have expanded, what Iulia observes still holds true: "Growth hasn't made us lose who we are. There's a strong thread - our principles, our way of being - that ties everything together, no matter how much we change".
What strikes us most about this journey is how the core vision has remained constant while everything else evolved. Technology built with care still drives every decision we make. Whether we're optimizing performance for an F1 team, developing AI solutions that solve real problems, or creating spaces where colleagues can thrive, that original principle guides us.
From 30 to 280+ people, the scale has changed dramatically, but the intention hasn't. We still believe that the best technology comes from teams that care about the craft, about each other, and about the impact their work has on the world.
Building Our Global Future
Seven years in, we've built something worth sharing with the world and we're setting our sights on what comes next. As our CEO, Tudor, puts it: "Now, it's time to show the world what the true rebel style means! In the next seven years, let's build a truly global company headquartered in Romania!"
We believe this is the natural evolution of everything we've been building. With our growing AI expertise, our partnerships with world-class organizations, and our commitment to technology built with care, we're ready to take RebelDot's impact far beyond our current borders.
The foundation is solid. The team is stronger than ever. The vision is crystal clear.
